I know, really original title, eh? So here's like, twelve hours worth of coloring, (and skipping out on long overdue homework) so any sorta comments at all would be greatly appreciated. I used the huge set of Prismacolor markers my Mom got me for an early Christmas present, and man o man, I love those things.
So yeah, this is Prince and Farah from the game Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, like the best game EVAH. I'm in love with Prince. And Farah was pretty sweet ass as well, even though she wasn't NEARLY as cool and acrobatic/flippy as Prince. This is tiding me over until the sequel comes out . . . I'm thinking about making a few more pages like, pantomine comic style, showing Prince being a total show off and Farah rolling her eyes. I've already got the next page sketched out . . . what do ya'll think? Should I or shouldn't I? Lemme know.
Really nice. This has good lighting and overall composition. I particularly like the faded look of the markers, though you probably could have pushed the tonal scales a bit more on both ends to create more depth in the image.
Oooooh. I like this. It's a good finish. The background works very well. Since there's nothing on the bottom it makes them look like they're very high up. The only thing it really lacks are dark shadows. I think that that's okay in most areas, but she doesn't have much ofa shadow, and that's a little decieving.
It's colored ok. I think it would look better if you used watercolors. that way you could get more contrast. The markers make it look flat and the red is the most intense color. Like I said this is the fault of the markers not your coloring skills. With watercolors you can use your painting skills. And you can paint with the computer.
I'm trying to learn how to paint with the computer and it's not easy. Painting with real paints is so much different.
You can go into this with computer coloring to practice. Love that line work

"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional"
I like how bright the colors are, and I think the tonal range on the flags and buildings are fine, Ithink just the figures themselves could use a lilttle more contrast. And fleshtones with markers are crazy. I usually break out the colored pencils and put that on top of the marker and some guache for highlights if I need it.
If you do another one, it be fun to see some crazy perspective on Prince, maybe we are down below him as he flipps above us on a wall or something.
And yeah, he's hott

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
